Change intro image

Hello
I am trying to change the image in the intro but I can't find out what dimensions should I use. When I use a small image it stretches very wide.
Can you help me?

HI,
there is not a such a think like default height, because this Module Style uses height:100%, so want can I suggest.... maybe use blurred panoramic photo with min. 800px height.

Does the module keeps cache somewhere except joomla . because I change the width and height of the image and it remains the same.
Ans also is there a way to change the text of the text? I saw something [anim-slide_left] [anim-slide_right] where are those parameters?

I think it always uses that stretch option but I am not sure.
