Change thumbnails cut for News Show Pro GK5

Please have a look here http://test.madonna.nl or at the picture



As you can see News Show Pro GK5 makes a thumbnail for my newsitems and makes is smaller. There are bits cut off from the top and bottom. I think it automatically takes something from the middle of the original picture. Sometimes the heads are cut off.. look a but stragen.

Is there a solutiun so News Show Pro GK5 makes the thumbnail, starting at the top of the picture?

I do want the thumbails to have the same size (height-width) as above in my screencap. I only want to see the face also..

Excample:
Now it takes a bit of the picture from the middle:


And I want the tumbnail to be taken from the top of the image:


Is that possible with the thumbnails/cropping settings?

Under the thumbnails section in the module settings - there should be an image which visualize the crop settings.

This is what I see.. where would I change the settings?

Please disable option "Image auto-scale" - then the cropping interface will appear.

Found it! And it's kinda working but not exactly like I want.
I can see more head now (http://test.madonna.nl and look at the module NIEUWS).

But now some thumbnails have black bars on the left, right, top or bottom... Ugly
Don't want those black things... just want it to fill out with the picture.

It that possible?

Unfortunately if you have so different proportions of the images you will be unable to avoid these black bars. The only solution to remove it is set the image background color for images (under the thumbnails section) to #fff - then instead of black bars there will be white bars which will be invisible on the white background.
