Can't get rid of sidebar.

I've deleted my sidebar widgets from the side bar widget area but they are still showing up on my posts and home page. How do I correct this?? Is this a permalink thing??

Did you remove widgets from sidebar position completely? It's not possible, send me a PM with backend access please..

seems to be working now. i had to remove the widget and refresh the widget page a couple of times and then it worked. Seems like WP wasn't passing the delete commands. Anyways, thanks.
