Highlighter story alignment issues

I have installed the mod_gk_news_highlighter_J15! module. I also have set it up according to the directions in the help file. I've selected the News sort order to ascending ( because I would like a horizontal alignment) and have selected the "highlighter" position in the back end for the module display area. However when I view the it on the front-end the text is aligned vertical. I have attached some screen shots of my setup and how it looks on the front-end. Please advise. Thanks
