Hi,

I needed to update Joomla and extensions for server security, I've also updated to the latest StoreBox theme but unfortunately and as expected to be honest I have noticed several problems immediately (ukloupesDOTcoDOTuk)

1. if you mouse hover over a product the round circle used to have the price in it but now it has some strange code like TPL_GK_L

2. when you add a product to the cart, the pop up window has some strange display issues

3. under news articles it has this weird meta data:
UTC+00:001_22K_thUTC+0000RE987+0000X_TuePMUTCE_December+0000RDecPMUTC

I get a very strong feeling that you don't test any of these templates thoroughly before selling them to business owners. The problems I've had with this theme have caused huge inconvenience and loss of business.

I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

Hi

1. This is how sentences for translation looks like. Simply add this sentence with Your translation and selection of a language You are using, to joomla language overrides in joomla panel.

2. I will need to see it and site is offline. Send me an access to it please.

3. This tells me nothing, Will check what it is when I'll have an access to Your site.

All templates are being tested. In fact You can see it on our demo where updated versions are shown. Also there would be much more reports of those problems and this it the only one I saw for now.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

1. That's very strange that updating the theme has caused this to happen though, I have never changed anything in the language settings. It should show the default word there which was 'view'.

2 and 3. I wasn't aware the site was down but please check again now as it is definitely live and and working.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi

1. It's possible that language files didn't get updated since they are outside the module and Your server may not allow scripts to overwrite files. So You may try to overwrite them manually from extension packeges. But if it's only a one word than using joomla language override is completly fine.

2. What exactly You have in mind ? I've checked popup and everything look to be ok to me.

3. This string is strange indeed. I have no idea what can it be. I suspect it's a way Your server display a timestemp date, but please send me an access to FTP so I'll check what is it exactly and fix it.

Hi,

1. There is no problem with my server settings, the problem is with the gavickpro update.

2. For instance, the 'show cart' button is cut off by the modal pop up's close button. This is a problem with the template's CSS.

3. It's not a problem with the way my server displays timestamp date, I have many client sites that display this data properly.

Please can you investigate this thoroughly and have a look at the site so you can see what I'm talking about. I've uploaded a screengrab of the templates section in admin where you can see another instance of the strange language problem I've had with the template since updating it.

Thanks.

Hi,

It seems you've fixed the language issue in your very recent update as I've just updated to this today and the issue is fixed.

So all that is remaining is the layout issue of the pop modal I mentioned. I know I could fix this with custom CSS but it would be better if you could improve that area in the source files. If you add a product to the cart you'll notice the cart button is obscured by the close button.

Thanks

Hi

1. Great to hear that this was fixed.
2. Are You sure You are using latest template version ? I have send a fix for this popup some time ago. Try maybe switching to fancybox in VM configuration. If nothing will work, just add this to override.css

Code: Select all
#facebox {
    background-color: #fff;
}

#facebox .popup {
    overflow: visible !important;
}

#facebox .close {
    background-color: transparent;
}

#facebox .close img {
    opacity: 1;
}
