I posted this problem in another thread but I have not received any response and I need to know if there is a solution or should I look for an alternative way to show the subcategories. Can someone help me with this error, please?

I can't insert any module in sidebar position on a page that shows Virtuemarts subcategories. Sidebar disappears and shows the modules below the content.

Link where you can show this error: http://146.185.19.58/~farmacia/marcas-comerciales

Thank you.

Hi again!
The problem has not been solved. Now subcategories are correctly and in categories, contrary to what happened before, sidebar moves to the bottom.
I can't install neither the template, an error message appears, although it seems that something is installed because override styles are gone.

Screenshots of the installation error and how the sidebar is displayed in the categories.

Hi

The installation error may be becuase of server file permissions. If this happens than it's better to update template manually via FTP.

If update haven't fixed the problem than maybe it was not included yet. Try replace just the file at /html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php I'm attaching the correct one.

Sorry but, still does not work.
Do you think it will take long time to solve the problem? I have almost finished the page.

Thanks for your effort.

Hi teitbite!

I provisionally applied the solution offered by smussger in that thread https://www.gavick.com/forums/storebox-joomla3/vm-3-0-4-products-show-up-one-per-row-only-43469. It's not perfect because I had to hide messages that appear below and should not, and does not show the titles of the subcategories but, I can live with it while problem is solved.

If you think that you can fix without waiting for a new update, let me know and I'll send you login details, but must be Cpanel, I have some trouble connecting with Filezilla via FTP, "Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity".

Thank you very much!

Hi

I think the solution You have applied may be interfering with it, so I think in Your case it would be better to wait for a official update.

I am also having this same problem with the sidebar dropping below the products list. It only happens on Virtuemart category pages. I tried replacing the default.php file provided but there was no change. That is definitely the file causing the issue. When I disabled it in the template's HTML overrides the sidebar displays correctly. (file path I'm referring to is at templates/gk_storebox/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php).
Looking at developer tools on my site the sidebar is set to 25%. When the sidebar drops below it is created at 20px wide than on all other pages where the sidebar displays correctly.

My installation is:
Joomla 3.4.1
Virtuemart 3.0.9
Storebox template 3.17.0 - and this problem only appeared after updating to this new template version.

Standing by for a fix.

Hi

I do not know why, but in Your case a fix from around 6monts ago worked. I think Your template may be outdated, but with the amount of changes You've made I would advice to keep it like that.

My template is not outdated. I have Storebox version 3.17 installed. That's the current version. Before I updated I had 3.15.1 and it wasn't a problem. But the solution you provided works for me now. Most of the changes I've made to the template are CSS and HTML overrides and that's not difficult to replace after an update.

Hi

Ok. I was just thinking it is outdated, because as I said, a file which fixed the problem was from older template version. A little bit strange but it works and I do not see any problems in code after using this old file, so this is the correct solution in this case.
