latest quickstart (Feb 2015) - VM broken on J 3.x

In the quickstart version of this template, the frontpage returns an SQL error on boot:

That's becuase demo content is only for english, so if You will not select it will not have content to show, but still modules configured to display none existing content. Please look here:

one thing is not clear for me...

I'm Italian and then I set the Italian language ... after I get this error? How do I fix this?

Or I have to set the English anyway? In this case when I install VM translate what will happen?
