content of sidebar is displayed on the bottom of the page.

Hi All,

For unknown reasons the content of the sidebar of my website is displayed below the main page content.
This only happens in a few occasions, however I can't figure out why.
For all pages on the http://www.meulewiekers.netpage it is showing normal except for the pages under the menu item --> groepen --> Ring training de Meule --> showresultaten (also accessible via http://ringtraining.meulewiekers.net)
There is a difference in displaying it via Chrome/Safari or IE9/10.

This looks like a validation error. Please disable all custom added content, including page articles and than publish it back one after the other. Last published when you will see the site broken again will needs to be check for HTML correct syntax.

But at this point of the website no custom added content is used. only a couple of articles(without markup) and the menu on the sidebar (which is also non custom).
If needed I can provide you with the login details in order to check.

The result of the validator does not indicate the problem is located at the articles.
Looking in the code of the articles there is nothing missing. (it is very basic text and some minor html tags, nothing special.)
To me it looks more like the templates the incorrect codes resulting in the problem. It happens for all articles having the menu "ringtraing" in the sidebar.
Can you please verify. I can provide you with the credentials.

If this would be a template issue that all pages would looks the same. Anyway please send me FTP access so I'll check the blog layout file. I think problem is when this file is used. Are You using this view in different pages as well ?

I'm sorry, but I'm not able to trac the issue. The cache on Your server as I presume is not showing any results to my changes, so it's not possible to locate the file causing the problem. Even if I replace all files with empty ones page is still visible.

My sidebar disappears completely after I visiting the same product page the second time. In other words this: I'll be at my home page > then click on a product ( http://vainakache.com/index.php/shop/st ... 113-detail ) where category sidebar shows up fine. > then click on home or logo image to go back to home page > Click on same product again or a different one sometimes, and will take me to this without sidebar ( http://vainakache.com/index.php?option= ... temid=9999 ).

If you notice, the url changed to something else a totally completely different location for the same product page .

It works again properly only after I delete cache from joomla's backend admin. But this is temporary, only a reset till it happens again. I don't know if this is a problem that started after I started using language overrides or something else in the modules or template settings....I don't know. Do you know what could be the problem and how to fix?

Also just noticed that the problem stops when I perform a "Debug System". I get no errors by the way.

Och this way it's simple In News Show Pro module You need to select the ID where the frontpage of the virtuemart is set. A default value is 9999. Please look this option in VM part of NSP configuration.

I think I follow you. But your message is still a little vague. As you can see from the screenshpot, the ID was already set to 9999 by default in the VM Language Override. So what should I do now specifically? Just so you know, I already tried blanking it out before but it would n't let me. It would just revert back to 9999 as the default. So I'm stumped.

Just wondering, Should I also worry about the ID being 657 on the left side...and just focus on the override VM Language Override, or was there another section that you meant for changing the ID? And if so, where do I find it exactly?

Problem was with the wrong Itemid set for Virtuemart in NSP module settings and some kind of issue which has not used the value set in module settings. I bet because of cache. Anyway I've added an ID of VM frontpage into the /modules/mod_news_pro_gk5/portal_modes/product_gallery_2/controller.php and line 72:

Now will this still be a problem every time I update my VM or my Shop&Buy template....like will the fix you made be overwritten by any new updates? Just wondering.

I'm afraid You stuck with News Show Pro module for a while. This is where I made this change. Also problems may occure when You will change the frontpage of VM in menu. Rest of the extentions and changes are safe.
