Hi There,

I have started using this template, which is fantastic by the way (www.recupeit.co.za) . I have run into a problem whereby I am unable to add new or edit existing K2 Categories or Items. When clicking Save, the browser (IE or Chrome) goes blank and nothing happens. I have tested the same functionality in the 2.5 version of this template and it works fine (both on the same server). Both sites were installed using the Quickstart packages.

Any Idea what could cause this and how it could be fixed?

Thanks,
Steven

Either javascript conflict in backend while saving items,
or corrupted file / folder,
or there is a missing file / folder.

If you know how to use Firebug in firefox you can check script tab to make sure scripts are loaded then check console to see if there are any error messages.

Let me know how you get on.

Using Firebug, there are no errors reported in the Console but with on the script tab there is the following: Access to restricted URI denied.

I have fixed this issue. There was a problem with the class.upload.php file located in administrator/components/com_K2/lib. Deleting this file and uploading a copy extracted from the component installation package downloaded from the K2 site resolved the issue.
