storebox 500 error in VM after update

Hi I have a Joomal 2.5.28 Site running VM 2.6.22 and the latest version of gk_storebox 3.17 however whenever a user clicked on a product page a 500 error is produced. I have trued reinstalling everything and have event tried using the basic joomla templates and also bikestore template - vm worked fine on these templates - it is when I switch back to storebox I ge thte 500.

I have set the site up on a test environment :

This is J2.5.28 with VM 20.020b and Ver 3.9 of storebox

Any ideas why the main site is breaking? I'm not seeing anything related to server set up.

This template was updated to work with Virtuemart 3.0.10, so this is probably why You have this problems. I would suggest to downgrade the template to an older version which was made to work with VM 2.6.22 or update VM, but with the second option I would suggest to try that on backup since other extensions You are using right now may not be compatible with it.

I'm afraid we do not keep old version. You will have to update VM to the newest version or disabled VM support in template by deleting /html/com_virtuemart from template files.
