Shopping cart overlay blocking pages

For some reason and I can't find it but the shopping cart overlay even when it's not open blocks things like the password and login button on the cart page and links on other pages as well as some of the drop down menu. I tried playing with the z-index but nothing worked.

Can You please explaing what I need to do to see this problem ?

I can't figure out what the problem with the overlay from the side cart is blocking access to links and forms on the web pages even when it not open. An example is if you add something to the cart and go to the cart page you can't add a password or click the login button

Interesting issue. Please update template to the latest version and send me an access to ftp. There are more problems on this page than this. I need to make some tests.
