Problem displaying images in Image Show GK4

Hi,
When I load images into the GK4 Image Show for the front page I only ever get a large white space with the blue 'Question Mark', the images can be seen in the back end preview of the GK4 module but they don't show on the front page. The only images I can get to show are the ones supplied in the quick start package. Can you help please.

It seems like problem with folder permissions - thumbnails and cache cant get generated.
Could You please post an url to your site?
