How the fcebook login does not work properly?

i did create the app
i did fill all the fields needed in the joomla backend: in the module and in the template settings.
still the login through facebook not working.
site is online so i can give access to gavick support guys, let me know soon.

i followed instructions, i did edit the file as written, i double checked facebook app and module and template setting: nothing yet... the link don't work at all, not even the pop up showing up!
help me please, facebook login is crucial for me!

ok, i need facebook authentication plus facebook likes counter integrated in my k2 item views:
i guess facebook integration for this template is still under construction so i ask if anybody can link me to an extension that can do what i ask above and can be easily integrated with storebox 2.5, thanks!

Anyway the thread You are pointing at is exactly what I would start with, so You may try it Yourself. Facebook auth plugin in joomla was not updated to the latest changes to facebook code and this is why lots of users has this problem.

Send me the access if You will have problems with this still.

I've made a changes mentioned in post https://www.gavick.com/forums/creativit ... ml#p142820 , I saw You tried to do this Yourself, but it done just partially.
But now I see a message from facebook "This app is in sandbox mode. Edit the app configuration at http://developers.facebook.com/apps to make the app publicly visible." So You need to unlock it in facebook now.

i did it: This app is live(Visible to all users)

Facebook says: Changes saved. Note that your changes may take several minutes to propagate to all servers.

So now everything about Facebook authentication should be ok? I see the button on my site http://darteshop.com/index.php/en/login is still non active

If this problem was related with the issue of auto plugin than it should work now. Button is working for me:

We made a step forward but things still not working...

The button now is active:
clicking it we have a pop up asking for facebook UN and PW,
after that pop up disappears but the user that tried to log is still out
and joomla didn't add him among joomla users.
The button turns back non active: to make it active again you should delete browser chronology.

How can we solve this? Facebook authentication is crucial for my site.

Please make sure that default Joomla! register form is working because maybe problem is somewhere in Joomla!. How many facebook applications you have at your domain? Only one ?

joomla registration form works ok, i still have to set email confirmation so now i do it manually from backend, but i think it will be no problem setting it.

about apps i created on my domain:
i have 2 apps: 1 is the one i'm trying to make it work for facebook login, 2 is another one i tryed to make it work for same purpose when i was working localhost (i would delete it but i don't find the way to do it).

do you have access to my site?

Sorry, I thought it started to work after my fix and please do not bump Your thread so often. I was answering at night and You mail got moved to the end of the line just about that time.

I've updated plugin again since I've found small code issue. Please send me an access to You joomla panel I'll check registration settings since You have a K2 registration and not the default joomla one which is supported by plugin.

the UN and PW for joomla backend is for Super User.
you should see 3 users, the only 3 registered: diego, prova and super user

Sorry but I still got nothing. I've spend 6h today trying to figure it out, even recoded default joomla template to check if facebook login works at all. There are only couple of possibilities left, for that please let me know what changes You have done to template's code and if I can install a newest version of template(I'll keep old files in case You have modifications there). Also send me an access to facebook app.

Yes I got mail, but I'm not able to log into Your facebook account, because it's asking for verification, so please just make screens from app settings.

I can see a lot of files was modified, so I'm going to move the files you have right now to a different folder and upload new version of template.

now you can access my facebook: i unlocked it from security warning.

I can see You have started next thread, but I promiss You I'm doing anything I can. But I simply cannot find what is so different about Your site that facebook login is working anywhere except here.

Right now I've send it to programmers again. Last time they just advised where to look. Hopefully when they will check the code they will figure it out.

i did a try myself: uninstalling this component:

that is the only one component i installed tha i thought could intefere in authentication machanisms.
obviously i could not solve.
since you say this is my particular problem, i can say i installed a few components you and you workmates can easily check (csvi, k2 multi images...).

actually with my personal UN and PW it logs me in but i don't appear among joomla users, but that's i think it's because it recognise me as administrator?

i tried then with my office mate account Federica and she's among joomla users now and i could have her email too, so it's perfect!

now i just need my customization back.

Only @bkrztuk knows what was wrong . I've moved old files to joomla root folder with "_" sign before the name, so when @bkrztuk will let us know which file was modified than You will be able to move it back, but keeping the fixed file intact.

Since friday I didn't touch any files. The login with facebook is working properly ?

login works ok (only issue: sometimes login works only the second time you try to login...),
now i'm trying to solve other problems not involving template.

i would like to replace the default files with the ones i edited for my purpose
without loosing the facebook login fixing.

what was wrong, why didn't work???

All old files with Your modifications are in root folder of joomla under the name of gk_storebox(old_files_backup) as soon as @bkrztuk will reveal which files were modified than You will be able to replace the updated template with backup and move the files with fix than.

I have not been talking to @bkrztuk, but I'm guessing the fix was made in file /layout/blocks/social.php

@bkrztuk, please confirm it's a proper file to keep.

Have You tried with /layout/blocks/social.php ? All the code for facebook login is there, so I'm 90% sure fix have been made to this file.
