Hi

on a multilingual site I came across this issue with image gallery gk4 on header position

I got this error:

GET http://www.comercialmexicana.eu/en/imag ... cajete.jpg 404 (Not Found) mootools-core.js:305
GET http://www.comercialmexicana.eu/en/imag ... _agave.jpg 404 (Not Found) mootools-core.js:305

the problem is that the language text added (en/) to the url causes the 404 error

I created the files inside "en/images/"

and got the problem resolved. but I would like to find a cleaner fix.

Any clues,

Thanks in advance

Hi

Are You using any additional SEF solution ? Please check how it works with a default joomla SEF option.

Hi,

When joomla SEF is disabled, there is no problem with the path

And I am not using any other SEF solution. I´ve tried changing parameters inside joomla config SEF options and nothing works.

It seems to be a problem with joomla sef and multilingual functionalities.

I got same error with english language please try: http://www.comercialmexicana.eu/es/ and see if you can access backend.

it is More likely rewrite url option on joomla settings

But the problem with image gallery gk4 still remains

Any clues, ive ben trying for hours to set this right or find a solution.

Hi

Sorry, but I cannot figure out the issue. Noone else has reported this problem before, so I'm pretty sure this is connected with some 3rd party extension. Unfortunately I cannot see one there. So in order to make it work I will advice to make 2 folders for images called like the lang tags.

Hi,

I thought about creating the foldes with images but it got everything worse.

Joomla SEF redirection was affected because the folders names. And I got 403 errors with pages starting with "EN" the folder I have created to match the generated paths for slides.

When joomla sef "Use URL rewriting" setting is disabled everything works as expected.

can you think about a possible workaround using .htaccess ? or something.

I will appreciate your help

Hi

Sorry, but this is really an exceptional issue. There is no similar case on joomla forum, so I do not know what to advice. The only thread about that can be seen here: http://www.webmasterworld.com/apache/3715574.htm I hope one of the tips will help to solve this problem.

Hello, I finally fix this issue after two days struggling with it.

If anyone ever have similar problem with image paths in modules. This may help:

Use absolute url in pop up window

type in whole url in image url field.

See example here:

http://d.pr/i/RFLV

As simple as that.

Cheers,
