Hello, I am having difficulty with the compression settings on the Storebox template. The website runs so much faster when compression is enabled so I would like to keep that way if I can.

When I have compression turned on the menu amongst other things does not work. No dropdown at all. I have used a different menu so this involves a new script being loaded. I have tried to add this script to the exclusion list but that didn’t work.

This is what I added to advanced settings:
modules/mod_dropdown_megamenu/assets/js/dropdown_menu.js

If I can exclude one script then I can get the rest working. I also updated the template files to make sure that wasn’t the problem.

Can anyone help with this issue? I can provide login details if someone is willing to take a look.

Many thanks

Hi

Not all srcipts can be compressed with each other. This is why You have a files for file names to exclude. Please try exclude all javascript and than remove one after another from exclude field. You will find a perfect configuration this way.

Hi

Yes that's the way. It may take a while but when You will finally get the troublesome file try put a plugin this file is loaded by to very top or very bottom on the list and try repack js one more time with this file. An order of javascript files is as important as it's content during compression.

I counted roughly 26 different scripts that load at different points throughout the site. Somewhere in and around 676 combinations if i am to keep all of them. So this is going to take a while.

i may have better luck just trying one at a time. :)

Hi

Just add all of them at the same time, than remove one by one checking the site. When site will be ok after removing one than put all of them back without this one and start over if site is still broken.
