Hello, there is something weird happening to my website layout when I view the Virtuemart pages. The sidebar goes to the right, the font of the menu changes and the copyright text in the footer changes.
This occoured yesterday, before that it was OK.

Right layout: http://voerboer.hisslink.nl/
Weird layout: http://voerboer.hisslink.nl/webshop/honden

What could be the problem?

This might be the case, as we release theme updates some time after vm update - till then they are not alway 100% compatible with new VM structure.

I'm having the same issue as these other people have explained. I just finished uploading my new upgraded site too and decided to update the vm. Wrong thing to do. It messes up the layout by doing the sidebar to the opposite side and also some other strange things to my header and layout. Very frustrating. Even more so that there's no easy "undo" process other than removing my 102mb site and reuploading it the prior to updated VM version. So for those thinking about possibly doing the VM update...DO NOT. Huge waste of time.

I hope for those that do not have backups that you're able to find a solution or someone here able to figure something out for you.

Ok...I'm taking back my it's a VM update issue...I just reinstated my backup site without the update and I'm still having this layout issue. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be the cause of this? It's very frustrating! Especially after all the time I've spent to get this ready to go live and now that it's live I find this major problem with the layout when it was never an issue before today. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I was Luckily able to find a jupgrade version of my backup site before this sidebar position issue was a noticeable problem. It could, I guess still be the VM update that is causing this but I'm not 100% if that was in my case because as I stated before I have a version where the VM upgrade was not installed yet but was still having this SideBar/footer issue. I will try again to recreate it with a fresh install of this template on my demo server once I have my website all setup.

All I know from this point forward I will never be one to quickly do a vm update to my site unless tested completely on my test site first. I've only wasted HOURS of my time downloading and uploading different versions of my site...having a 102MB site and slow internet is not a fun combination of doing this with. :S I guess it beats paying $100 for support in which case I was very close to spending to get this resolved.

I do hope for rest of you...there is something resolved with this. From what I can see...for whatever reason the Category/Product/Checkout page styles are not pulling from what the other template pages are and pulling from the vmsite-ltr.css which I do not see the case on the quickstart template...there are also other variable of CSS sheets these pages are pulling from. I'm not sure if that helps but thought I'd point that out. Good Luck!

Few advices to those with slow internet connections.
1. Either You are Mac or PC, there are projects like MAMP, XAMP etc, that allows You to install local web serwer and test everything localy. With Joomla its very easy, as You dont have to do anything beside making backup copy of your site and database.
2. On localhost You can easy copy entire folder structure, then if something will go wrong, replace it with oryginal etc.
3. Only if You are 100% sure that everything is working, You copy all the stuff back to hosting server.
4. If You will write down all the changes, You might just do same changes on server (update vm, change settings, update tempalte etc) - it will ge quite faster.
5. That doesnt work with fresh installation. If You are installing for the first time, You must go through the installation process on your server, because it will help if there are any server configuration issues (they go yellow or red on 3rd step of installation).

Ps. We will look into described problem. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
