Hi There,

I've created a user menu and placed it in to show...which I have the menu positioned "topmenu". The links work however not as a popup. From the forums I've read I see that I need to have it in the "usermenu" position but it does not exist for this template. Will I have to add this position and if I do will it fix the problem of not having a popup for registration? Or am I not clear as to how to have this be set up. I've looked over both the forums and http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... on-joomla/ configuration page and still am unable to get this to work properly. Please if you could help me on what I'm missing to get this to work properly I'd greatly appreciate it.

Kind Regards,

Katie

Hi,
As you can see not all module positions listed on Gavick “Module position guide” are available. Some of them like: logo, cart, mainmenu and userarea – are not regular Joomla! positions. This is a part of code built-in template where menu or user area elements will be visible.

p.s.
So yes, if you want to use extra position you have to add a new one.

Thanks for your response. I guess I'll add it then. I would have thought that this position would have been available with the template since it's looks to be standard to making the login/my account popup to work. Once the position is placed in will the popup feature work?

Thanks again!

This is the closest post that is to answer me about the setting to get login popup to work: https://www.gavick.com/forums/storebox- ... 25558.html

However I do not see "login" as a module position. Why is it not stated that the position needs to be added before popup will work. Is this because the "quickstart" has the positions available where as the template only install does not.

Kind Regards,

Katie

I resolved this issue by installing quickstart template and matching all the setting and was able to get this to work now. It has nothing to do with adding a position. There unfortunately isn't any good documentation on this so you have to install it to see how to set this up if you are going and installing the template on an existing site instead of starting from a quickstart install.

That's why I always suggest to install both, empty site & quickstart to see how it works.

But we have also some documentation for our templates here:
