Sidebar not showing up on product page

hi there!

I'm in the process of updating my site and seeing that the sidebar does not display on product page view...however does on all other shop pages. I have been looking to see if it was a template setting or a vm setting that would cause this to happen.

Please if you could let me know if I'm not doing something correctly or if you need further details I'll be happy to pass them on.

Please make sure that products are assigned to some menu items and then check whether modules published on sidebar position are assigned to this menu item.

Thank you for your quick response. I've got it to work.

I am playing around with the module and menu assignment. When assign my vm categories to only pages selected and have shop pages selected from the main menu...the vm categories will show up on the sidebar position on all areas of vm except the Product page.

However if I do the opposite which is select "on all pages excpet those that are select" I have all menu items selected except for the 2 shop links and it works this way.

I guess I don't understand as to why it wouldn't work by selecting the 2 shop links that I would want the sidebar to show up on. Or at least shows up on all of them except the product view page.

The products or product categories are linked to some other menu or menu item ?
