Help! No products are displaying in Virtumart Sub Categories

Hi,

I need help with something which seems to be a bug... no products that are in subcategories are displaying on my site... If i put them in a top level category its fine though...

Any idea whats wrong?

FYI i have had to take the subcategories offline on the site but all that appears is a totally blank page no matter how many products are in the subcat, I checked the category setting on virtuemart and they were setup the same as the root category.
