Language problem

Hi! can you help in such question as modify language?
I installed the quickstart and now want to translate english into russian.
First i installed the russian packet to joomla, after that go to "installed - site" + "installed - administrator" and set the russian language as default.
But this messege opened - "Warning! When using the multilanguage functionality (i.e. when the plugin System - Languagefilter is enabled) the Site Default Language has to also be a published Content language."
and the part after "shop and thends" disappear, and the part "shop - frontpage, categories, etc"

That's because VM needs to create tables for products in new language. If language was installed after VM than VM will not have such tables. Please simply install VM again.

I have in my virtuemart configuration site languages two languages I want to use for the online shop: english and spanish. How can I insert product descriptions, categories and others in the other language?
How does the multilanguage feature works?

Sorry, but I'm not a VM expert so I can only guess that the language You will choose in site administrator will be the one You are managing products with. Please better confront this information with VM support.

i do it in tools then click Tools & migration then install or if ncessary update tables ( u need default ur language)

In Tools, Tools and migration I don't see the language options, what tool should I use to set the shop in two languages?In my case is spanish as primary and english as secundary.

I believe @KaprikaTV meant an option to rebuild tables, but reinstalling VM will work the same way. I was answering similar question today, so I've investigated this a little closer. It may help You understand how it works: https://www.gavick.com/forums/viewtopic ... 72&t=25674

Hi Teitbite and thank you for the resource!
In my case I think is solved. In vm admin just clicking the language selector for in product description brings me to the other language.In configuration the languages must be added for that to work.

Great to hear that. VM may have a switch to other languages, but most of the modules for VM needs an administrator panel oppened with a language we would like to display on the site. That's what I've discovered during the research. You may need this information.

We have install quickstart on http://www.universal-trade.su/, and want change same words like "Categories" "Featured Products" "Latest Products" "Top ten Products" to our russian language, but can't find were is it. Were we can do this?

I think most of this words are titles of modules rest can be find in template's language file in /language/en-GB/ folder.
