Please edit following file and make below changes.

File: templates/gk_storebox/js/gk.scripts.js
Line: 70 which is below

Code: Select all
      if(document.id('gkPopupLogin')) {

Replace with

Code: Select all
      if(document.id('gkPopupLogin') && document.id('btnLogin')) {

Please check following.

1. Module " Virtuemart Shopping Cart" published in "cart" position.
2. in templates folder there is a cart.php file "/templates/gk_storebox/cart.php".

I'm having the same issue also. The cart button appears to sometimes work, but overall from a users-standpoint, the cart doesn't really work. When you add items to it, and click view cart, 2 things seem to happen:
1) The cart button sometimes doesn't work.
2) No items added to cart appear.
3) There doesn't seem to be a way to register on the shopping cart area.

Any ideas?

It appears that the problems are all centered around the Firefox browser... Ideas?

@joejubee,

I have just tested following with Firefox and Chrome and it is working fine.
. Add product to cart.
. Click on cart icon displays cart and added products.

It is difficult to fix something when we can't see to be honest. Perhaps it is a cache issue if you have installed other cache plugins. Disable any caching in your site for few days or a week and see how it goes.

Regarding register link in cart, I ll post some mod when I find free time.

There is a strong possibility that a problem with the 3.8.2 version of the cart was gone.
Please confirm someone else!

Thank you for taking the time to look at it. I know that it's virtually impossible to diagnose an issue when you can't see it.

I checked today on a different computer, and again, did an add to cart, view cart, and there were no items in cart. The site has had Cache - OFF - Caching disabled and I haven't installed any additional things other than whatever came with the quickstart.

I'll keep an eye on it over the next couple of days, but other than that, any suggestions/ideas?

Thanks again for your time.

Joe in Atlanta.

I believe you are using Storebox template as a secondary template and you are using another template as default. In this case please do following.

Copy "cart.php" from templates/gk_storebox/cart.php
To "templates/your_templatename/cart.php".

Copy Folder "templates/gk_storebox/html/mod_virtuemart_cart/"
To "templates/your_templatename/html/mod_virtuemart_cart/".

Let me know if this works.

Storebox is indeed a second template in the joomla 2.5.11 installation
But it is the only template for the shop for virtuemart to work with.
I saw also that the login module is automatically linking to the longin from the default template. I think I have to make one special for this template.

I will try to do what you asked me.
And turn back

Thanks for the reply
warm regards

Hi,

I've found a solution - it's easy.

Go to:
administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=config

At section:
Activate Css Styles & Javascripts

Check if THE ONLY options checked are:

Using the VirtueMart jQuery
Using the product Scripts
Using the Script ajax Countries / Regions

Ther rest should remain unchecked. It solved my issue.
