Hi,

First off - I love this theme - has been an absolute breeze to work with so far!

One thing I just can't seem to get working, is the manufacturer slider made with NSP GK5 on the demo. How do I point these towards either: a: virtuemart categories or b: a link ?

I seem to get errors as soon as I point this one to anything but Joomla categories - but that hardly seems like that ought to be a limitation?

I hope someone can give a hint to how I sort this one out :)

Hi

I think Your problem is not the fact that it has to use joomla articles only. I've tried to use VM or K2 and everythign is fine. Problem is that You will need a custom link to a category while NSP is all about showing articles and not categories. But You can use it and this articles as a welcome page for all manufacturers. So it will show an article only and the rest will be handled with modules on this page. To make it You need a category view for this article defined. Here is a link to article which will help: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/qu ... s-working/

Hi Teitbite,

Thanks for giving it a look. I gave the article you mention a read, but that is not really what I am looking for. As I just want that slides to work as a way to link directly to VM product categories.

I will look into if a bit of re-coding will sort this, or if the best solution is to use another tool to present these categories in a good looking way.

Hi

If You are looking to a way to link to a category than NSP is not the best choice. This module was designed to link into a single article. You can add a category link there, but it's just as aditional information about product/article.

Anyway a direct link to category will be required in order for joomla to pick up landing pages correctly. You do not need to use the menu with this links, but it's a required practice.
