Bike Store Gavick template/ updates

We are using the Bike Store Gavick template for our new homepage+store but we managed not to update the template before we've already done quite some work on the site.
Currently we're using v.3.4.
Is it safe to just update the template to v.3.8 and if any, what risk are we taking? What might we loose by doing so?

Hi,
1) Make a full backup (in case of...bad luck)
2) Check if you made any changes in template css or php or images files?
3) For sure, make a copy of all settings of template (templates\gk_storebox\config\default.config.json)
4) Update/install new version
5) If you made (2) - you have to add this changes again.

I just download new template and install it again...?
