Hi,
you mean default Joomla module(s) not showing content from articles?
But we didn't override them. In this template only K2modules and search, login & breadcrumbs has been overridden.

They not showed at all or they are empty ?
Simplicity uses "sidebar" module position where those k2 modules must be published.

Hard to say, I'm not sure that is a template bug.
It may be a problem with assigning...

You can make a small test before you will use addcional extension.

Add this K2 item into menu and then assign those modules into.

If won't help , maybe you have to use AdvancedModuleManager

My test from few seconds ago.
today.png

Template downloaded & installed today, K2 item added today, item added into menu,
and I was able to assign k2 modules on sidebar only for this item view.
No problems. I'm a Wizard or what?

On Frontpage by default it cannot be displayed because of this suffix !

But removing it may damage other elements, so it's your risk.

But I don't see connection with template issue. And support can help with this, not when Joomla don't listen to you.
Maybe it's time to use Advanced Module Manager.
