Hi,

I am trying to create multilingual menus (FR + EN) but having installed the Template Sample Data when I ran the Quickstart, it won't let me make the Default Main Menu one specific language. However this means that I can't get the language that I want to appear in the menu location dependant on the language chosen. This means that I can't choose a Menu Item as a Default Page for a certain language!

The proper way to create multi-language website is described here » https://www.gavick.com/documentation/questions/configuration-multilanguage-site-with-joomla-1-7/ Please check this tutorial which explains how to create multilanguage menu with one menu but you can also duplicate template and choose different menu for every language.
