Hi,

I am having kind of an issue here and i really appreciate your help
I am trying to copy a the header section of an HTML template to gk simplicity, i really like the header of that html template and what to use it in the header section o gk simplicity.

Check the header here;
html.casinogamemaker.com

How can i achieve this?
what i did till now was to copy the html template css to overwrite.css and enabled overwrite in the gk simlicity template config.
uploaded all the imges to joomla and corrected the path on the css.
Published a custom html module to the header position and pasted there the header sectino of the html section.
Unfortuntly this didnt work, een the background image doesnt look the same.

Thank you for helping.

Best Regards
Paulo

I am convinced that the problem is due to not loading (or not being able to use) the javascripts that control that animation. not sure why because they appear attached when the template loads (check source code).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi

Do You mean to copy this: "Start 30-Day free trial today. Set up in instant Powerful landing page theme for running serious business" part ? It's just a custom html. No need for javascript, just copy the html from demo and adjust css classes. I would help, but I do not see it on Your website right now.

No, i mean copy the header of html.casinogamemaker.com and use it on dev.casinogamemaker.com .
The first link is a HTML/CSS/Javascript website and the later is a joomla website with gk simplicity installed on it.
I need to have simlicity look alike the HTML version. Specially the homepage, the reason i choose simplicity to reach this is that i fealt it was the easierst template to reach my objective wile giving me the responsive and "touch" of the freat templats of GK :) .

The problm with copying the header form the html version to the joomla version is that the html version uses javascript to load the header menu and make it look and work like that, i am not beign able to get the Joomla version to play along those JS files.

HEres what i did.
Copy/past the html from the html site to joomla custom html modules
Append the js files to joomla (they do appear as linked if you check joomla source code after loading the site)
Copied all the CSS to simlicity overwrite.css in the order HTML website uses it.
Results - not working :(

Hi

Ok. 3 tips.

1. Please copy HTML of full <section id="home"></section> and paste it into HTML custom while editor is disabled. Thanks to that any HTML5 will be keept instead of strip.

2. Disable javascript compression so the added javascript will not get squized with the rest.

3. Make sure override is enabled in template settings.

I'm afraid this request is out of our support, so I can only help with this tips, but if You want to hire me to make it for You just send me a mail.

Hi teitbite,

Thanks for getting back to me. My appologies for only replying now, its been crazy lately.
The issue was the scripts themsefs, they were not ready to play well with Joomla and Gavick framework. Its fixed now, ironicaly they wont be used.... afterall.

By the way, what editor you use with your sites? i got accostume to Rokpad.

Hi

Ok. No problem.

I'm not using any editor. It's much easier with a clean HTML :)
