Hello,
I use simplicity (last version) on a 3.2 Joomla project (localhost) and have a problem with the multilingual joomla fonction.
I made all describe here http://www.gavick.com/documentation/gen ... oomla-1-7/
I use multilingual on other website with other templates (Yootheme for exemple) with no probleme.

I have my 3 menu (all/Fr/En) and my language switcher allow me to change language.
My problem is that each menu (Fr and En) do not appear in the top of the template. Where the maimenu is on the demo website (Home/Template/Features/Blog/Typography.
I tried to put the position mainmenu for each of my menu module (Fr and En) but with no success.
I image my probleme is about this position manmenu (witch is not on the template positions).
Do anyone have an idea to solve my problem?

The whole idea is not to switch entire menu but just display menu items assigned for active language. You need to include all menu items (for all languages) in one menu. Then after switching language only menu items assigned to this language will be visible.

Thanks bkrztuk for your answer,
I will try your solution rapidly
Does it mean that the item Nº3 of this tuto http://www.gavick.com/documentation/gen ... oomla-1-7/ is wrong?
Is this technic have any inconvenient regarding the classical Joomla multilingual proccess?
I see one in case I change to an other templates who need classical Joomla multilingual proccess (other Gavick templates or Rocketheme or Yootheme), is it right?
Thanks again

No it is fine but in this menu you create only 'Home' menu item not additional items.

Hi Bkrztuk,
Tahnks for your reply.
I don't really understand. Do I have to create three menu (one all language not activated and one (2) for each language) as indicated in the tuto link above but it not work because of the menu position mainmenu? Or follow your indications "You need to include all menu items (for all languages) in one menu. Then after switching language only menu items assigned to this language will be visible. "?

Yes one menu is for all menu items. The menus for particular languages contains only 'Home' menu item.

I understand the idea. But I have some problems to realize it.
A) It's not possible to link the items to the same items in another language. Ok, it's manageable.
B) To view flag in the language switcher, I have to create a "shadow menu" for each language. Right? In this case, the homepage for each language is the standard page of the language menu and not the real homepage.
C) But most important is my last problem. How can I create a new menu item called "home" with the big picture in the background and the special menu-style (the welcome module) for another language?
Thank you for your help.

The homepage is the 'home' from this shadow menu and there you can set all configurations mentioned in point c)
