Hi,

I am using Simplicity in Joomla 2.5.11. With Rsformpro I want to make a tooltip to give extra information about how to answer a question in a form. The tooltip becomes visible when the cursor is in the answer field. When I click to activate entering data in this answer field the tooltip stays in sight: it does not disappear, but stays 'in focus'.

I tried a css snippet (found in the forum for the Rock template) but this does not change that.

Also: the rsformpro has several layouts for forms. The html5 responsive form layout does not permit entering any data at all in a field. I can live with that, because the older xhtml layout works fine. But perhaps this is related to the tooltip problem.

This is a link to the tooltip form:
http://qombo.nl/index.php?option=com_rsform&formId=4

Put cursor in first answer field to see the tooltip: it will stay when you try to enter data.
Trying to enter data wont work: this is the responsive layout style that does not permit entering data.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.
I checked using Beez and that works okay: it is possible to insert data in the answer fields.
The tooltip stays like it is. But I am not sure any more that its behaviour is not correct. It stays in view as long as the cursor is somewhere inside the answer field. As I wanted to use it with a text area field (which is quit large) the cursor has to be 'put outside' this field and that takes a conscious action; in a smaller text field that happens more or less automatically.
So the question becomes: is it possible to put the tooltip more off field in the first place.

Also: something in the browser - template - form interaction makes it impossible to enter data when using the responsive layout.
But this only happens with Firefox, not with Safari even not with Explorer and indeed also not with Chrome.
I think this is more on the Rsform side, so I will ask them.

Thank you.

Greetings,
Paul

For all rsform questions - it would be better to ask their support - they know their code well and will give You best possible answer. I can only try to search for solution, and with not knowing the code - it will take some time.
