smart search does not work in quickstart package

Hi,

I installed the quick package of the joomla 2.5 simplicity template.
In the menu there is an item that calls the smart search component, and this only delivers a blank page.
I do not have a link because the site is running local.
The demo of this template however also does not function: it gives an error message.

Any advice much appreciated.

Could you check whether the same happen on default Joomla! template like Beez ? Did you create a results for smart search ? Please look here >> http://docs.joomla.org/Smart_Search_quickstart_guide

I did check with Beeze and got the same completely empty result.
I can troubleshoot as you indicate, but this is your quickstart package, not mine: I did not change anything, so I presume it is your package that is not working. Please correct me if I am wrong with this.
Also the demo of this template for joomla2.5 on your site gives this error-code:
"Fatal error: Class 'FinderIndexerStemmer' not found in /home/demo/public_html/joomla25/simplicity/components/com_finder/models/search.php on line 1140"

Please firstly build indexes and check this issue on Beez. Smart search is a Joomla! part not our template so when you switch to 'beez' you will have 100% sure that you are working on clean Joomla. Then when on Beez you will get results, switch template to simplicity and let me know.

When you use their fix

JLoader::register('FinderIndexerStemmer', FINDER_PATH_INDEXER .
'/stemmer.php');

in "/components/com_finder/models/search.php"

this will resolve the problem.

i used world news quick start and i completely changed all positions , then i deleted all dummy posts . now while i am using smart search on the top right of the site the automatic result is loading but when i press enter or select view more that page is loading the same home page . but before and gavick demo there is a page with advance search is loading . i tired alot i cant set it ..
please help me with this ..
