Hello

i want to disable that darn Social Icons Position: social fly out menu that appears when you rollover the first social media icon. It directs you to the module that edits the social media section. How do I get rid of it.

Thanks in advance everyone!

You mean this icons yes? screenshot All that you need to do is to open this custom HTMl module and delete HTML code so probably you need to switch to HTML view mode.

This is custom HTML module, you will find it in module manager and you need to show HTML code to edit this icons.

Okay I found this line in the source code :
<div class="box gkmod-1 nomargin jmoddiv" data-jmodediturl="http://rockstonemediagroup.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=201" data-jmodtip="<strong>Edit module</strong><br />front-page-presentation<br />Position: top1">

This is where its being executed, now where is this code coming from?

Thanks

I'm so very clear about how to link the links to my social platforms. What I'm confused about is that darn pop/slide out module that reads "edit module". I can't find a way to remove that function....HELP!

Thanks

I see what I may have to change...in the source code I found this

"<div class="box gkmod-1 nomargin jmoddiv" data-jmodediturl="http://rockstonemediagroup.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_modules&view=module&layout=edit&id=201" data-jmodtip="<strong>Edit module</strong><br />front-page-presentation<br />Position: top1"><div class="content">"

So all I need to do is find either the data-jmodtip code or remove it from the source code itself all together. Do you know where this code resides...I'm hunting through the code right now.

Thanks

According this entry on the joomla forum http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=715&t=840462
That allows you to edit modules from frontend, it only appears when you are logged in. I have confirmed this and yes it only appears when you are logged in.

Would like to remove this feature though....hmmmm

This is default Joomla! feature and it is available only for registered users with access to module editing. To disable this feature please just choose 'none' option for this feature in this configuration view » screenshot
