Menu items locked

Hi,

that's not really a problem but just something I need to understand, I opened the menu item options for the home menu and for one of the categories menu (tablets) and on advanced options -> basic options different areas are grayed out and thus locked for editing depending on the menu I wanted to edit. Why is that? Is it because it's a submenu and a main menu difference?

It's simple Fields are greyed when You select one category, because all settings are takes from category configuration. When You select more categories than joomla doesn't know which category settings to use than it's enable You to choose them again, but in menu manager this time.
