Hey Team,

Once a user is logged in, I'd like them to be able to click on the "Create Article" link and add their content. The problem is it's not adding them as K2 items. They're being added as a regular joomla article. All my categories are set up in K2 and I'd like people to be able to add comments, rate, etc...all the features that come with K2.

Any way to change it so the "Create Article" link directs them to adding a K2 item instead?

Appreciate any help I can get.

I'm a little confused. I was able to find the settings which you attached in the picture, and I assumed that changing Create to Allowed is what you were suggesting. But, whenever I use the Front-End to create an article it still creates a Joomla article not a K2 item. Is it even possible to make the Create Article button link to a K2 item editor? The original poster JoeAnt seems to think it is.

thank you for your response

Hi

Ok. I missunderstood You. To have a place for creating new item You need to add a new menu option with type "Item edit form".

@teitbite

thanks for the tip, that worked creating a new menu item.

I started new topic about integrating the New K2 Item into the "My Account" menu which displays after logging in.

Hi

You need to edit /html/mod_login/default.php file there You will find a layout from screen above. You should see links to profile options there so adding a new option should be simple.
