Hi,
I really like the Magazine template but am very much struggling to set the style!!

Am Using: Joomla 3.1 (just updated) & K2 v2.65

Very simply, on the Home page I would like to use a banner on top, with K2 Latest Items in 3 columns in the the body of the page.

Cannot seem to get this to work, have a few examples of what happens

Example 1 with banner
http://www.zestytwists.com/
Have set the menu type to K2 > Latest Items > 3 items per category > 3 columns
What I get is
Row 1 > 2 columns + 1 empty column
Row 2 > 1 column + 2 empty columns

Example 2 without banner > same thing
http://www.zestytwists.com/index.php/home-3

Example 3
http://www.zestytwists.com/index.php/zesty
Have set the menu type to K2 > Categories > Leading count - 3 > Columns -3
What I get is
3 items but the 1st item has lost the line above & sits higher up than the rest.
If I add the top banner, the same thing happens.

The same thing happens if I choose 2 columns as opposed to 3 columns.

HELP please.

I would like to be able to use both the K2 Latest items & Category types

Hi

I've checked it and this is not working even when disabling the template. Please send ma an access to joomla panel too. I'll check if it's not because of articles content.

Hi, thanks for a reply...
it made me look again...
I could kick myself the answer was really simple, I needed to correct the ordering of the categories in Latest Articles.

I still have a problem with example 3, any help there?

Will email you cpanel access.

Example 3
http://www.zestytwists.com/index.php/zesty
Have set the menu type to K2 > Categories > Leading count - 3 > Columns -3
What I get is
3 items but the 1st item has lost the line above & sits higher up than the rest.
If I add the top banner, the same thing happens.

Hi

Please edit file: http://www.zestytwists.com/templates/gk ... css/k2.css and remove the class which starts in line 499. Should looks like this:

Code: Select all
.itemsContainer:first-child .itemList article, .itemsContainer .itemsContainerWrap .itemList article, #itemListLeading .itemContainer:first-child article.itemView, .genericView .itemList article:first-child {
    border: medium none;
    margin-top: 0 !important;
    padding: 0;
}
