How can I create an animated portfolio page based on k2?

A lot of joomla 2.5 and 3.0 templates offering the ability to make animated portfolio pages. They have a subtemplate in template/html/com_k2/templates folder, like portfolio.

I just bought the magazine template but in quickstart i did not find any k2 subtemplate.
Is it possible to create an animated portfolio page sorting by tags with use of K2 categories?
