CC: move social sharing icons

I want to move socialsharing icons from its current position, which appears ad end of article, to left side of content, right under or even on top of the Author thumbnail in K2. What would be the best approach to perform this change?

I know probable I will have to edit the k2 template and also some CSS. Any suggestions? Please look at the attachment image so that you can fully understand. Thank you.

you need to go to html/com_k2/templates/default and edit item.php file. Here you will find code for social icons and you need to move it it into
