Adding Menu Item with K2 Category - Parse Error

Just installed quickstart Magazine template, but trying to modify or add a menu item using a K2 Category when I get this error on menu item config page in Admin area.

Ive checked I have the latest version of K2 (came with the template quickstart)

As you can see the error comes from K2 extension so probably you need to reinstall extension, especially when the problem is visible at backend.

Will this remove my existing K2 Articles and Categories, plus their display settings?

When you re-install K2 it shouldn't cause any changes in your content but remember to install new extension and NOT remove before the older version.
