Search icon on top

I am using a News template, and wonder how I can put in an "search-icon" beside the login-icon in the navbar at top...

Hello,
Generally it won't be easy, you should add new widget area (for the search widget), next to (or inside) <div id="gk-user-area"> in News/layouts/header.php file.

Then, you'll have to put the search widget into this new created area and adjust css a little.
