HI,

I'm trying to workout what widgets have been used in the demo news site.

Is there a way to show/see the widgetised areas?

I know there is a basic widgetised diagram in the config docs but sort of useless with trying to compare to demo site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,

You have to use Google Web Dev Tools or Firebug to inspect elements, and in the code you'll see widget area containter like gk-bottom1 or gk-sidebar.

Most widgets have also titles, so you can compare titles in the demo from screens from the documentation:

(widget settings section)

Like I said, I've seen the diagram... but depending on settings their placement is not obvious. Lots of time being wasted looking for the right widget.

Flexx theme does this very well through a simple setting "show me the widgetised areas' (or something like that).

Example here:
http://demos.ithemes.com/flexx-professional/
see the widget description on the right hand side: "This is a Widget Section"

Make it easy to consume your products -- that is the secret to repeat sales.

Thank you for your advice.
In our newer themes we are using much less widgets and we are trying to use i.e pages, which may be simply imported and edited,
but of course we'll consider your suggestion.
