How to create the drop down menus?

Is it possible to create drop down menus? If possible please can you help me with the code? We are short of time and need drop down menus. I tried a lot of plugins but would not work with the news theme.

That is exactly what I mean. How can I configure the NEWS theme to show like that.

Did you use quickstart package during installation? This is main menu of the theme, so you should go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus and choose main menu of the theme, then assign menu items and that's all.

Hi Piotr, I am using the quickstart page installation. I did as you said but the menus are not dropping down. Here is a screen shot of how the pages look like. Is there something I can change in the code? I will greatly appreciate it if you can help. My client bought the template on my recommendation and he is impatient.

I think you didn't install a quickstart package properly. After quickstart installation your site should looks exactly like on the demo:

In regards to the menu, i think that every items of your menu are in the same (first) level, if you want to achieve dropdown, you have to move some items to the next level (submenu), see an attachment from WP dashboard.

Check also News -> Template Options -> Navigation -> "Depth of Main menu" option should be set to "all levels"

Impossible. Please check again Theme Features menu item next to the News logo. (Only Theme Features have drop down submenu).

I just re-installed on my localhost with Xampp but it is the same old story.
I am lost here! In the installation I have, there is nothing next to the NEWS logo. Can you please post a screen shot of the Wordpress NEWS theme for me to see how this is configured?

I unzipped the quickstart package, loaded it into a folder created on my localhost, created a database then followed the installation process. After the installation, I logged in at that is it.

Do you know of an example of a site which installed the NEWS theme with drop downs? If yes please give me the link so that I can see it in action. I checked the WORLD NEWS II joomla template. It is exactly how I would want it but unfortunately this was not possible in the Wordpress NEWS them which I bought.

Seems to be the browser causing problem. I viewed the links you gave me with my default browser which is firefox and othing appeared but when I viewed them in internet explorer the dropdowns showed up. Do you have an Idea how I can fix this so that they work on fire fox as well as other browsers such as chrome?

This menu works properly on almost every browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, IE 8+). I checked it just now and it's ok, so it's definitely a problem only with your browser.

Moreover, no one else reports this kind or problem (this menu is very important feature), so you have to check your browser.
