I have an template already installed in my joomla. And also have DB there with some articles.
Now I like to change the template with dummy quickstart site which is downladed for WorldNews II. I have copied all the files in the cpanel home directory, but can exact only few template functions with old database. How can I get the quickstart site exactly like template for WorldNewsII .

Thanks an advance for the help.In the Gavick guide, its mentioned after copied and DB creation, open directory using Browser. What does it mean? How can I open Directory in the browser?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Regards

You need to make installation again, as with it - database and its entires is created.
The easiest way would be to remove configuration.php, then installation will start from beginning (You need to copy in all files from quickstart package)

What do u mean by installation again? Installation of Joomala again..`? Which configuration file should I delete? I found one configuration file in installation directory inhome folder in cpanel.

Also I have already copied all quickstart files in home directory. Now how to restart installation again?

In the 'How to install a QuickStart package' guide, after coping package and DB creation, what do mean '
Open your browser at the address/directory where you will perform the installation. '. Can you please inform what exactly it mean?

Thanks in advance.

After You install correctly the option to delete installation folder will appear. Do it firstly, then reloading oryginal domain that You used to access installation should get You to working site.

Hi,
I have created a MySQL DataBase then I unpacked the file - "gk_twn2_quickstart_J!3.zip", and the I opened the file "gk_twn2_quickstart_J30" and installed everything what was inside the file to my webserver. When the upload finished I entered my website: http://998.xn--80abmghlx4ajd.uz/ to begin the installation, I did it accordingly, at the end by request I deleted the "installation" file and entered the homepage of my web and I could not see anything (you can check it!) but when I tried to enter the http://998.xn--80abmghlx4ajd.uz/administrator everything works! Can you tell me why I can not see the home page?

Thanks in advance!

All You have did seems to be 100% correct.
Please ask your hosting company for help on getting any errors on accessing this site (apache error log, php error log). It seems that problem is somehow hosting related.

I have no idea, but I guarantee you the package itself is ok (I have just downloaded it and it works fine on compatible hosting server).
As I said before - ask hosting company for support, and the answer will be given right away. There are many variables to consider, and as far as You are not known with server configurations, php.ini options, php versions etc - asking hosting company support will be the only way to go.
