Hi Guys,

I've used creativity previously but my company have decided that they would like to use the game magazine layout instead so I've downloaded the gk_game_magazine_J!3 file. installed it then make it default but it doesn't seem to work somehow.

Did you assign template to all menu items?

Hi Bkrztuk,

Thanks. Got it done. How do I use the gk_game_magazine_rest_files for this so that the site can be exactly like the demo and I'll just edit it after that.

The only way to get exactly the same view like on demo page is to use quickstart package. Complete tutorial you can find here https://www.gavick.com/documentation/joomla-templates/templates-for-joomla-1-6/quickstart-installation-for-joomla-1-6/

I've done that this time but now the website turned out a bit weird. The CMS top menu where the save button is doesn't appear until I scroll down and the homepage consists of the strictly standard errors. Here's some snapshots.

Found the solution for the front end by adding a php.ini file with

error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE ; Show all errors except for notices
display_errors = Off ; Print out errors (as a part of the output)

and to my surprise that the backend is fixed as well after inserting the php.ini file

Back-end issues are not related with our products, we don't change anything there. More about display errors problem you can find here [url]http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joomla-templates/qucikstart-joomla-package/installation-quickstart-problems-how-to-fix-them/

But I was using creativity and rockwall before this on the same server and there's no issue at all. this is the first time the cms backend display such errors after installing the quickstart file. do you think there's any file missing in the package?

Maybe just some 3rd party extension enable displaying strict messages.
