Hi Everyone,
Good morning. We are using K2 user registration in our login / register pagehttp://vedics.cloudaccess.net/index.php/joomla-pages-ii/user-registration. However, I do not see which tables in the back end stores the profile information. I don't find them in the regular user profile table.

Kindly let me know if you have seen this issue before..

Thanks

Hi,
In J2.5 - K2 has it's own tables not connected with default Joomla, like "prefix_k2_users", now in J3.1 it's little bit different, but also include "all" profile content.

But main question: you are searching for what purpose?

Hi,
Thanks for the response. I am searching for two purposes.

1. I want to import users ( with profile) from my existing site into this new site.
2. I wanted to add couple of additional columns to the profile

Thanks,

1. I want to import users ( with profile) from my existing site into this new site.

so you have to copy/export "prefix_k2_users" and "prefix_k2_user_groups"

2. I wanted to add couple of additional columns to the profile

When I made first Dating website I used "K2 extra fields" I didn't have to add any additional fields to profile.
Maybe sometimes it's better to use social network software (component) which have those features.

Thanks. However, I do not see any profile information in the users / k2_users / user_profiles tables.

I only see the basic account information in the users table ( not even in the k2_users) table.

Wondering why the K2 registration form is writing to the regular users table instead of k2_users table.

And not clear where the profile information is getting stored.

Elsewhere in the forum, I see that some folks had to re-install K2. Should I do that too ? If so, any documentation on how to do it ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I could not locate the user profile in any of the tables.. Also, those profile information that I am saving in the UI is not seen the next time I login..

So it is clear that the information is not getting saved anywhere in the back end..

Any help to resolve this is greatly appreciated..

Thanks,

Hi,
I have re-installed K2. Still the user profile is not stored in the backend. When the user logs back in, the profile information that was provided during registration is not there.

Kindly help..

Thanks,
