Hi All guys,
i have some question i think you should make clear for all your customer because i think they are quite important and i don't find the answer or a user guide anywhere...

- All the gavick template have a "override.css" file. When i have to use it? When i want to override a module css or when i want to override the template css (with the template seems not working so i guess is for the modules)

- If i made some change in a template (css, image, ect ) how can i update it without lose all my changes? I guess this is a commun problem but i couldn't find a solution.

- How i update a template? I just have to download the new version and upload it via FTP?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

1) the override.css file should be used to override the template CSS code to avoid problem with the future updates in the CSS code.

2) The best way is using the WinMerge (Windows) or FileMerge (MacOS X) applications to compare new file and your one.

3) In general you should replace all listed in the update log files through FTP file upload.

Hi,
thank you for the reply.

Everything is working fine, the override.css etc... but i'm still have a problem and a question:

- i uploaded the new version of the template via ftp and, in the control panel of the template i have some string like this:

TPL_GK_LANG_CONFIG_DIRECTORY;
TPL_GK_LANG_COOKIE_LATEST_VERSION
TPL_GK_LANG_COOKIE_SSL
TPL_GK_LANG_BANNER_POSITION
TPL_GK_LANG_TAG_PLACEMENT
TPL_GK_LANG_COOKIE_STYLE

and more...

How can i fix it?

Thanks again :D

Please reupload also the template language file to the languages directory.
