Image Show images don't show and scroll text not work

Hi, very strange with 2 EXACT copies of a website on the SAME host/server (Rochen):

Please see ixxdesign.com (works fine) and russia-rtv.com (only the first slideshow image, then no more, also the pointer in the scrolling text not work). russia-rtv.com is the "live" site now and is an EXACT copy of the test site ixxdesign.com. Both are hosted on my ROCHEN server, same server... !!!

What can that be?

THANKS

Seems to be a general Joomla 2.5 upgrade issue, not an "Image Show" issue. Now I see the issue on both sites, seem to have been masked on the parent site iXXdesign.com because that was still cashed and only the newly installed copy, not being cashed yet, looked like it has the problem only.

Not so. NONE of the site links on either site work, click click wherever you want.

I strongly suspect that this has to do with an upgrade from 1.7 to 2.5. (which looked like smooth riding with Akeeba tools)

is it not possible to upgrade a Gavick website from 1.7 to 2.5 ??!!!

Did you also update template files and module files to go along with joomla 2.5.
if not download gk_game_magazine_J!25.zip file / news show pro gk4 / image show gk4.
Rename your current template folder / mod news show pro folder / image show gk4 folder, as you have done customizations.
Reupload new template folder into your host and test the modules.
Reinstall modules from extensions manager. Then test them.
If none of them applies try installing a quickstart package 2.5 in a subfolder to rule out server issues then we can dig deeper. Thank you.

See you around...

thanks, solved.

The real issue was that after the incomplete update (only updating Joomla without also updating the modules to 2.5 which are different from 1.7) the "tests" looked fine.... because the browser cache ... and that once moved to live server the issues showed coz then there was nothing cached yet...

Simple anser :CLEAN YOUR BROWSER CACHE BEFORE TESTING OR YOU CANT TRUS WHAT YOU WILL SEE...

Thanks, also to Piotr!

No problem at all and yes you are right, while users are still building their website they should constantly clear their cache as well as avoid using any system/module/plugin cache system.
