Game Magazine white screen

Hi
When I add this: <?php $this->setMetaData('generator','my site'); ?> to the layouts/default.php just above the <jdoc:include type="head" /> I get the white screen of death.
Am I doing this correctly?

Can You please tell me what are You trying to accomplish ? Because meta data is already loaded by the <jdoc:include type="head" /> code.
