SocialConnect Log in issue with news template

Hi guys,

I'm running two Gavick templates on my site:

1. GK News for the main sections
2. GK writer for the blog section

So I recently installed SocialConnect by joomlaworks to enable logins from social networks and running into an issue for the GK News template, specifically on the user login module.

When clicking on the user login module or a login menu item in the GK News template the username and password fields don't allow for the input of any text therefore the user can't log in.

However when clicking on the user login module in the GK Writer template the fields can be filled in as expected, also If I apply the writer template to the login menu item the text fields also work as expected.

So is there a way to get the user login module working on the sections of my site running the GK News template?
