Hi. I just installed the news template on my site. I realized that it contains News show GK4 and not GK5. I need GK5. I tried to install GK5 and configure it as GK4 is configured but it just messes up the site. Do you have a installation with the latest module that I can use in stead or can you help me update the modules please?

I can send you login details on PM after you reply.

Sorry, but only GK4 is supported with this template.
This is quite old template and changing to GK5 would require a lot of work.

Thanx! I asked previously about using RSS as a source in the modules with this template and got a positive reply: https://www.gavick.com/forums/news-joom ... late-41078

I don't see the RSS option in GK4, can you please show me where it is? If its not there then I assume the other admin meant GK5 and then I think it is weird if you say that it is not supported.

After getting the green signal from teitbite I based my webproject - which is based on RSS feeds - on the News template, which was the template I found most suitable for my project. I really hope you can help me to get the RSS feature working.

News quickstart has two NSP modules installed - GK4 and GK5. GK5 is disabled by default but only this version supports RSS.
You can ask in the other thread about this feature but I'm afraid there is no other option than to use Joomla to put rss into articles and display them with NSP. I don't know this technique so @teitbite would be one to ask for details.

I have started receiving the following error after I made a couple of changes in the K2 Comments on my website http://veteransnewsnetwork.com/:

"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') GROUP BY comments.itemID' at line 11 SQL=SELECT content.id AS id, COUNT(comments.itemID) AS count FROM vt7cw_k2_items AS content LEFT JOIN vt7cw_k2_comments AS comments ON comments.itemID = content.id WHERE comments.published AND ( ) GROUP BY comments.itemID ;

It appears the page you were looking for doesn't exist. Sorry about that."

This is part of the gk_news quickstart package.

Any help in resolving this will be greatly appreciated
