I have completed the installation of GavickPro News 3X at: http://www.lrsuntimes.com/setup/gk_news ... /index.php. Having gotten that done I need some specific directions to bring this template to life. I would appreciate identification of specific step by step instructions so I may make progress. I am aware that everything is installed but I'm at a loss on how to configure the template, and how to cause the url to change to just www.lrsuntimes.com?
Any directions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

If you want to run this template on the lrsuntimes.com domain, then you should upload the quickstart files directly to the public_html catalog on this domain. The structure should be prepared for case where address: lrsuntimes.com/installation returns the joomla installator.

Currently most probably you have unzipped the quickstart package and uploaded the whole catalog gk_news_quickstart_J3x instead of its content. You should upload this content directly to the domain root catalog (public_html). Of course before it please clean up the catalog from other existing website files.

Installation of quickstart was followed to the point. I am still getting the following when going to my www site: http://www.lrsuntimes.com/gk_news_quick ... nistrator/ and http://www.lrsuntimes.com/gk_news_quickstart_J30/. I have followed the directions. how do i correct this?
More importatnt, how is this templated configured. I'm obviously reading the wrong directions. Is there not a clear step by step processs that can lead a newbie through install and configuration.
I realize that there is placeholder materials in place but these must be removed in order to proceed. Where are these instructions? Is there a video tutorial that can get one through the first steps? Is there a service than can be provided to get one through the first steps? I do appreciate any help I can get.

I have installed just as this manual describes. see http://www.lrsuntimes.com/gk_news_quickstart_J30/ is this not where I should be? My position is the same as the diagram in the documentation.
How do I go about configuring the News?? documentation/videos will be great???? If there is some way to see this would be great!!

Completed your instructions but had to use a different approach that shown in documentation.
http://lrsuntimes.com/administrator/index.php permits me in the backend but pageview has the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/paradise1/public_html/modules/mod_weather_gk4/mod_weather_gk4.php on line 1

Please advise on correction of this error.

Please advise on how to configure the site?

Please ask your hosting for enabling the error display for your page, because I cannot enable it using:

Code: Select all
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors', 1);

additionally there is no errorlog file where can I check the errors.

I've fixed the weather script - it was transformed to one-line code what caused your bug, but still I see blank page, so most probably other files also are corrupted.
