Hi everyone,

Every time I create articles using K2, it takes hours before it is shown on my website front page. The articles are well displayed in the related pages, but not on the front page. After some hours, there are finally displayed on the front page, which is not normal. I wondering how to resolve this issue. I am using the news template.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Please configure the time offset setting in the News Show Pro GK4 module instances - it should helps. It is caused by fact that there is a difference between your local time and your server time.

Hello,

I have configured the time offset settings (from 0 to -12) without success. The articles I posted this morning are still not showing in my website home page. I am currently living in Amsterdam and my server is France. As far as I know these two places are in the same timezone. Could you please advice on how to fix this issue.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Please never provide user data to your back-end in the public forum!

I've changed the user password to save your website before potential attackers.

Please write me which module instance was modified when the error appeared.

Hello,

Thank you for your response, and also for reminding me not to provide my user data in the public forum. I thought the email was aimed to you only and not the rest of the forum members.

The modules NSP GK4 suffix " nsp, football, and Insolite were modified when the error occured. It happens when we tried to display the generated articles from Articles generator on the home page. I have tried to set the parameters as they were, but still the page cannot be displayed.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Your problem was caused by the Image Show GK4 instance not due the NSP GK4 module. I've set a K2 article in the existing slide and the problem disappeared.

Hello Dziudek,

Thank you many many times for your help. You saved us lot of work and time. Everything seems to be working fine.
I am now going to change the time offset values to see if my articles will be displayed without a delay. You told me to also check the positive values, I am going to do that now and will let you know.

Thanks again for your help, we really appreciate it.

Hello Dziudek,

I have also tried the positive values of the time offset, but my articles are still displayed with a very long delay. I am living in the Netherlands and my site is hosted in France. These two places are in the same time zone, I think. Could you please advise on how to fix this.

Thank you in advance,
Kaba

Please send me a PM message with the FTP access - I'll debug this problem in my free time (most probably on today's evening or tommorow morning).

Maybe the username and password are ok, but hostname is for 100% wrong - I've tried a lot of combinations for the hostname and it is not working. Please provide me a hostname which is working or please make sure that FTP access for your website is not blocked for other users.

Hello,

The issue is resolved by changing the code $this->config['time_offset'] = 24; // time offset for timezones problem, as described above.

Thank you so much for your help.
