Is there a way to let user select their fron_page?
Just as they can use the template selector to select a default color they will se every time they visit the site.
I need to let user select from a drop down of 20 city list, and based on their selection the site loads a different "front page" on their next visits...

when they fist visit the site, this question is pop out, "please select your default city?"
when they make the selection user is taken to that city front_page. and a cookie is stored to have this usser be taken to the same frontpage on next visit...

How can I do this??

Thanks!

Hi,
probably you have to use additional extension which keeps cookies and settings for it.
Because you probably not have enough skills to customize code of our template.

Second solution, maybe is too simple but ...
http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... ted-pages/

You can use different colors (all CSS styles) on selected subpages, so for example, you can create few:
- New York
- San Fransisco
- Hollywood
- Dallas
and when user goes to this subpages he will see different background and header, hmm ?

No cookie - no legal problems - full mobile friendly

Do you know any extension that would work like that? I been looking...
I need to ask the user to select their default page, so the color solution is missing this... it is a great add up to the same project ;)

Is a cookie related extension?

I was thinking about similar to this : http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ating/7466
or maybe you need more advanced like this one : http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ting/11173
...unfortunately, but it's always requires extra work/money for extensions.

p.s.
Please remember we are not consulting company we can offer you "only" support for our products.

Have fun.
